Steps

  1. Get medical help first, and tell your employer about the injury as soon as you can.
  2. Your employer reports the accident to the nearest NSSA office on form WCIF 14 within 14 days. Serious and fatal accidents must be reported to NSSA and the police within 24 hours.
  3. If your employer doesn't report it, report it yourself at the nearest NSSA office. You can also report it online on the NSSA self-service portal: choose "Report an Accident", then "Report as Employee". You can track the claim there too.
  4. Keep copies of medical reports and of anything your employer gives you.
  5. To follow up your claim, call NSSA on Call 402 or email Email contactcentre@nssa.org.zw.
