Check your ZIMSEC results

ZIMSEC puts results online for only a few days after it releases them. In 2026 it was five days for O and A Level, and in 2025 it was four days for Grade 7. After that, get them from your school or exam centre.

Steps

  1. When ZIMSEC announces the results, check them on the results portal straight away. Each time, ZIMSEC says how many days the portal will stay open.
  2. Once the portal closes, get your results from your school or exam centre.
  3. If you lose your certificate, apply to ZIMSEC for a Certifying Statement of your results.
  4. If an employer or college in Zimbabwe needs proof of your results, apply for a Confirmation of Results. Fill in ZIMSEC's form. The employer or college fills in its own section. Pay US$7 per exam sitting. Then hand the form in at any ZIMSEC office, or email it to Email confirmation@zimsec.co.zw. ZIMSEC sends the confirmation straight to them within 3 working days.

Good to know

  • ZIMSEC confirms O-Level and A-Level results. ZIMCHE checks degrees and diplomas.
  • The confirmation costs US$10 more if you don't know your centre and candidate numbers. ZIMSEC only confirms results once certificates have been issued. Before then, ask ZIMSEC to authenticate your provisional results slip.
  • For employers or bodies outside Zimbabwe, such as SAQA, use ZIMSEC's Qualification Verification instead. It costs US$60 per sitting within Africa and US$80 outside Africa.
